About Nova
Nova is a captivating burlesque and strip performer, who thrives on teasing and delights in wowing audiences!
Adorned in costumes sparkling with crystals and executing sultry choreography, she infuses every stage with her warm, vivacious energy.

Hailing from a small city in southern Alberta, Nova's passion for the performing arts has been a constant thread throughout her life. From high school drama, to competitive dance, the stage has always felt like home. In June 2022, she took her talents to the next level, beginning her journey as a stripper in Calgary's vibrant club scene. Just six months into her pole dance training, Nova competed in her first pole dance competition (PSO Toronto) and claimed first place in the level 2 Exotic (she prefers the term erotic, however) category. This triumph marked the beginning of her serious commitment to her career.

In January 2023, after more than seven years of professional boudoir photography and still just starting as a strip dancer, Nova transitioned her skills in body posing to the art of burlesque.
She honed her craft through classes with Daisy DeVille's Burlesque Burn and the talented team at The Cab Co (formerly Cabaret Calgary), learning from some of Alberta's best talents! She considers Bea Lissima, Bitch Sassidy and Ivy LeFleur as her teachers, mentors, and performance industry guides.

Nova's performances are a blend of her diverse talents and creative flair. Her love for costuming began at age 11, and she continues to create stunning, handcrafted costumes. Each costume she wears has been altered heavily, or made from scratch. From music, to props, choreography and costumes, each act is 100% Nova-made.
She proudly boasts a 2016 award for recycled fashion design, showcasing her dedication to sustainable fashion in which her innovative spirit was highlighted by her collection of custom bras crafted from recycled materials. Inspired by the need to reduce textile waste, she transformed old tablecloths, worn clothing, and broken jewelry into exquisite bras, lingerie and performance wear. Her efforts culminated in the "Burlesque For Breasts" fashion show, raising over $2000 for the Medicine Hat Health Foundation.

When she's not on stage, Nova is immersed in costuming, crafting, or managing her boudoir photography studio.
